Treatment Process

The first appointment with Dr. Hammerschmidt will typically consist of a complete history of your injury and health status, followed by a thorough exam of the injury site.  This will include a  biomechanical assessment, which is paramount to concise diagnosis and establishing a treatment plan.  The diagnosis of your injury will be explained and a description of treatment choices that best suit your needs will be discussed.  Not all injuries are the same and not all people are the same.  This is why from the diagnosis, a custom designed treatment plan that is personalized to you and your injury will be created.  

Our custom designed treatment plans encompass traditional chiropractic manual therapies complimented by state of the art rehabilitation treatments such as;  Shockwave Therapy (Storz Medical), Bioflex Laser (Meditech Int.), and Interferential current (Siemans Medical).  They may also include a combination of Massage Therapy, accupunture and naturopathic medicine.
